Universe of Light

lift up your head,
tiny blossom

shout for joy,
dancing beams

the universe,
encapsulated
in petals of light

Wings of Flame

Flame of love,
ignite my soul;
fan me with
wings of fire

against a bright blue sky

my own stubborness
wounds my soul,
tearing at the wire
between heaven and me.

self-erected,
a false fence,
to keep out the power
of the universe,

small meadow of
self indulgence,
with eternity beyond my borders.

Morning Meditation

This morning I allowed myself to just paint with a digital brush and let the color dictate the form. It was a good exercise and allowed me time to just be. I seem to be in a mandala state of creation lately. The symmetry of the circle and square satisfy some need of my soul for balance.

Rising Tide

natatorial hand of Neptune,
aroused by Eurus' fury,

seeming a watery chaos,
a shoreline melts away.

my soul
before my God.

Spiral Meditation

life's tide
ebbs and flows.

spiraling,
in on itself
out of itself

the end is the beginning,
the beginning is the end.

in such constancy,
comfort.

floating
on the prayers
of others

Lord, keep me afloat
